Overview

Set in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district, this high-altitude adventure (approx. 4,200m) takes trekkers deep into the mystical Dhauladhar range to explore seven sacred lakes—Nag Dal, Lam Dal, Kali Kund, Kareri, Chanderkoop, Sukh, and Dam Ghodi. Each lake carries a legacy: named after Hindu deities and believed to be ancient meditation grounds for sages and monks, they are revered by locals as spiritual sites where wishes may be fulfilled.

The trail cuts across snow-draped ridgelines of the Dhauladhar, aptly named for its gleaming white granite cliffs. The range is a dramatic mix of jagged rock formations, alpine forests of deodar and oak, and plunging gorges. It’s a trek that blends spiritual serenity with Himalayan grit—where every lake feels like a portal to another realm.
