Sudhagad is a small hill fort situated near Pali in Raigad District of Maharashtra. This is the only fort which was considered before Raigad for establishing as the capital of Swarajya during the rule of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The summit of this Fort is around 620 metres (2,030 feet) above sea level. The entire area around the fort is declared as Sudhagad Wildlife Sanctuary. This Fort has several ruins of two temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. However, the temple of Bhoraidevi (its patron goddess) is well maintained temple. On the large plateau at the summit, there are two lakes, a house, a big granary, some tombs, a shrine (Vrindavan) and numerous other ruins scattered around the fort area. There are three main gates to this fort. The largest of which is called the Maha Darwaja. From the top, other forts like Sarasgad, Korigad, Ghangad, Tailbaila, etc. are visible on a clear day.
- Historical Significance: Sudhagad Fort was built in the 2nd century BC and has played an important role in the history of Maharashtra. It was used as a military fort by the Maratha Empire and the British, and was a crucial stronghold during the 17th century. This Fort was once considered as a potential capital of the Maratha Empire before Raigad was selected.
- Panoramic Views: Enjoy stunning views of surrounding Forts like Tailbaila, Sarasgad, Korigad, and others and the backwaters of Mulshi Dam from the top of the Fort.

- Reporting at Fergusson College Main Gate at 05:30 am sharp.
- Leave for Sudhagad at 06:00 am.
- Have breakfast on the way.
- Reach base village by 10:00 am. Short introduction and briefing by the Trek Leader.
- Start the trek towards Sudhagad at around 10:15 am.
- Reach at the top by 12:30 pm.
- Explore the Fort and enjoy delicious lunch.
- Post lunch, we start the descend towards base village.
- Reach base village by 04:30 pm.
- Start return journey towards Pune.
- On the way, we will halt for tea & snacks.
- Reach Pune approximately by 09:00 pm. (depending on traffic conditions)
- Trek ends.
