Rani Sui Lake is a high altitude glacial lake located in the Himachal Pradesh region of India. The lake is situated at an altitude of around 4,700 meters above sea level and is known for its picturesque setting and scenic beauty.

  • The lake is a popular destination for trekkers and hikers, as it can only be reached on foot through a challenging trek that takes several days to complete.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Delhi to Manali 

  • Report at New Delhi near RK Puram Metro Station by 4:30 pm and leave for Manali via Volvo Bus. 
  • Overnight bus journey.

Day 2 - Naggar Base Camp

  • Arrive at base camp located near the historic village of Naggar.
  • Post lunch, there will be a program briefing, after which an acclimatization trek will take you to explore the Naggar Heritage Village, Naggar Castle, Roerich Art Gallery, and the ancient temples of Naggar.
  • Overnight stay at base camp.

Day 3 - Naggar – Shegli – Mahili Thatch (3-4 Hours Trek)  

  • Commence your trek by transferring from Naggar to Shegli via vehicles.
  • The initial leg of the trek involves an uphill hike leading to the enchanting Thoti meadow.
  • Trek towards Mahili (3000 m), a scenic campsite offering panoramic views of the Pir Panjal Range, Hamta Valley, and the Kullu Valley below.
  • Enjoy an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 4 – Maili Thatch – Niyasi Camp(5-6 Hours Trek)  

  • After an early breakfast, the trek begins with a steeper ascent toward the high-altitude terrain.
  • Reach Rani Sui Lake, nestled at approximately 3,790 m, offering stunning alpine vistas.
  •  Spend tranquil moments by the lake, soaking in its serene beauty and panoramic views.
  • Continue a short distance to Niyasi Camp, perched on a ridge perfect for sunset gazing.

Day 5 – Niyasi Camp – Lama Dugh (7-8 Hours Trek) 

  • Traverse a high alpine ridgeline offering sweeping views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
  •  Begin a steady descent through diverse mixed forests, rich in textures and scents.
  • Arrive at Lama Dugh (2,980 m), a tranquil meadow encircled by dense forest.
  • Settle into the final campsite—an idyllic blend of greenery and solitude.

Day 6 – Lama Dugh – Manali – Naggar

  • Enjoy a gentle downhill walk through lush cedar and oak forests, soaking in the peaceful surroundings.
  • The relaxed descent takes approximately 2–3 hours, culminating in Manali by late morning.
  • Overnight stay at the base camp near Naggar, wrapping up the trek with comfort and calm.

Day 7 - Manali to Delhi

  •  After breakfast, check out from the campsite and prepare for a day of light exploration.
  •  Choose your  optional adventure—either the adrenaline rush of river rafting or a leisurely stroll through Manali’s scenic charm.
  • By evening, board the overnight bus heading back to Delhi, bringing your journey full circle.

Day 8 - Delhi

  • Reach Delhi by 8:00 am and proceed for your journey back home.

  • Accommodation: Twin/Triple sharing (guest house and tents).
  • Meals: Breakfast on Day 2 to Breakfast on Day 7 (Vegetarian Meals with Egg)
  • Transportation: Delhi - Manali - Delhi by Volvo Semi Sleeper bus.
  • Camping and Dining Equipment and cutlery. (Sleeping Bags, Tents, Sleeping Mats, Camping stools, Dinning tent, Toilet tent with commode chair)
  • Certified English Speaking Trek Lead.
  • Support staff (Guide, Cook, Helper and Mule staff)
  • Forest entry charges for Indian nationals. For non-Indian passport holders, there will be an additional charge.

  • Cost of sightseeing or river rafting.
  • Cost arising due to unforeseen incidents like bad weather, medical evacuation, road blocks, Civil unrest, etc.
  • Porter/Mule charges to carry personal luggage. It can be arranged at an additional cost of INR 450 per day (1 soft bag per person < 12 kg).
