Itinerary

Day 1 – Delhi to Dehradun

  • Reporting at New Delhi Railway Station at 02.00 pm and proceed to Dehradun by train. 
  • Reach Dehradun by 09.00 pm and check in at Hotel.
  • Overnight stay at Hotel near railway station in Dehradun.

Day 2 – Dehradun to Sankri

  • Drive Duration - 187 km in 7 Hours
  • The drive to this village is as enchanting as the views of the Garhwal Himalayas from this little hamlet of Sankri.
  • On the way to Sankri, you would also be passing by the famous hill station of Mussoorie. Also, there would be several waterfalls welcoming you on the roads.
  • Overnight stay in Homestay.

Day 3 – Sankri to Hargaon

  • Trek Distance - 5 km in 3 hours
  • The trail takes you through lush green forests of pine and oak, and you'll witness the beauty of the Himalayan flora and fauna.
  • Overnight stay at Hargaon in Tents.

Day 4 - Hargaon to Height Gain to Hargaon

  • Trek Distance - 6 km in 5 hours 
  • Today after breakfast you go for height gain and return back to campsite for lunch.
  • After lunch you do some adventure activities and fun games.
  • Overnight stay at Hargaon in Tents.

Day 5 – Hargaon to Sankri

  • Trek Distance - 5 km in 3 hours
  • After breakfast start your descent from Hargaon camp.
  • By lunch time you will reach Sankri village.
  • Overnight stay in Homestay.

Day 6 – Sankri to Mussoorie

  • Drive Distance - 187 KM in 7 to 8 hours
  • We start the journey back to Dehradun and arrive by late afternoon or early evening.
  • Overnight stay in hotel at Mussoorie.

Day 7 – Exploration day at Mussoorie

  • Full day optional sightseeing in Mussoorie at your own cost.
  • You can explore various spots near Mussoorie.
  • Overnight stay in hotel at Mussoorie.

Day 8 – Time to Say Good Bye and cherish unforgettable memories of trek. 

  • Early morning check out from hotel and transfer to ISBT Dehradun.
  • Departure for Delhi at 08.00 am by Volvo and reach Kashmiri gate bus stand by approximately 03.00 pm.
  • You can book your onward journey anytime after 15.00 pm on this day.
  • There is an option to book flight directly from Jolly Grant Airport located near Dehradun and fly back home. 
Inclusions/Exclusions

What is included in the tour

  • Transport support from Delhi to Delhi.
  • All vegetarian meals starting Base Camp to Base Camp. (Day 2 Dinner to Day 6 Breakfast)
  • Professional guide, cook and support staff. 
  • Clean sleeping bags and mats
  • Good quality ‘A’ shaped or dome tents
  • Kitchen tents, common tents, toilet tents with portable toilet seats
  • Forest entry charges for Indian nationals. For non-Indian passport holders, there will be an additional charge
  • Porter and mule support to carry camping equipment and NOT personal luggage
  • Tented accommodation throughout the trek on a triple sharing basis.
  • Stay in Dehradun and Mussoorie before and after trek.
  • All applicable taxes.

What is NOT included in the tour

  • Personal expenses like tips, personal medicines, phone calls etc.
  • Any transport support during the trek apart from what is included above
  • Any cost or services not mentioned in the Inclusions
  • Cost of Sightseeing or River Rafting.
  • Cost arising due to unforeseen incidents like bad weather, medical evacuation, road blocks etc.
  • Porter/Mule charges to carry personal luggage. It can be arranged at an additional cost of INR 400 per day (1 soft bag per person < 12 kg)

Few Important Tips:

  • Dress in layers: Carry at least 3 layers at the trek.  Weather is quite unpredictable so we need to keep ourselves warm. Keep it simple, but warm enough. Pack your backpack as per provided Trek essential list.
  • Thermos Flask (1ltr) is very important on winter trek as water in normal bottle freezes due to severe temperature.
  • Do not carry any precious items like jewellery at the trek. Mountainfit Team will not be responsible for loss of damage of such items.
  • Carry extra plastic bags for wet clothes/garbage/etc. “DO NOT LITTER THE TRAIL, KEEP IT CLEAN”
  • Drone and satellite phone is not allowed so please don’t bring any
