Korigad Fort is a popular hill Fort located near Lonavala in the Pune District of Maharashtra. Easily accessible and beginner-friendly, the Fort offers breathtaking views of the Aamby Valley city and surrounding Sahyadri mountain ranges. It is well-known for it's massive fortification walls, ancient temples, and a large lake on the top.
This Fort dates back to the 15th Century and was captured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 1657. The structure still holds remnants of its historical past, including cannons and sturdy stone walls that are largely intact. The 2-kilometer long wall walk along the perimeter offers trekkers scenic viewpoints and a peaceful trekking experience.
- Scenic Viewpoints: One can see breathtaking vistas of Aamby Valley city, lush green valleys, and Sahyadri mountain ranges from the top of Korigad Fort.
- Lake at the Summit: A serene pond that stays filled year-round adds to the charm of the plateau on the Fort.
- Historic Cannons and Structures: There are remnants of fortification and Maratha-era military history on the Fort.

Massive Fortification Walls: The Fort’s outer walls are remarkably intact and walkable, offering a unique 360-degree view of the surroundings.
- Report at Hotel Kalpana near Saras Baug, Pune at 5:30 am sharp.
- Leave for Korigad Fort at 6:00 am.
- Have breakfast on the way & reach base village at 9:30 am. Short briefing by the Trek Leader.
- Start the trek towards Korigad Fort at around 9:45 am.
- Reach at the top of the Fort by 11:00 am.
- Explore the Fort and have lunch on the Fort.
- Start descending towards base village by 1:00 pm.
- Reach at the base village approximately by 2:30 pm. Freshen up.
- Start return journey towards Pune at around 2:45 pm.
- On the way, we will halt for Tea and snacks.
- We will be back to Pune approximately by 6:30 pm. (depending on traffic conditions)
- Trek ends.
