Overview

Embark on the exhilarating Darwa Pass Trek in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand — a journey that threads through ancient forest trails, alpine lakes, and sky-kissing ridgelines. Beginning in the peaceful hamlet of Agoda, the path climbs steadily through lush oak and deodar forests to reach Manjhi, a meadow framed by dramatic hills.

From here, the route deepens into wilderness as you ascend to the ethereal Dodital Lake, perched at 10,850 feet and cradled by fragrant pine and rhododendron groves. Its shimmering waters are home to Brown trout and the elusive Himalayan trout, making it a sanctuary for wildlife lovers and solitude seekers alike.

A final push takes you to Darwa Top — the highest point of the trek and a natural viewpoint to some of the Garhwal Himalayas’ most iconic peaks. On a clear day, you can trace the outlines of Swargarohini, Banderpunch, Draupadi ka Danda, Deonli, and Srikantha — each steeped in myth and magnificence.
